With the start of each cohort, GNA holds a Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program, better known as P2P.
Here at the USF School of Nursing and Health Professions we succeed as a team, whether it is in classes, skills lab, clinical, or collaborating on research. As a new nursing student, you may feel as if you have been thrown into the mix - but the P2P Mentoring Program can change that!
We can pair you with a peer nursing student from a senior cohort who can answer questions you may have regarding the program or classes. They will be there for advice and moral support as you transition from one semester to the next. We will make every effort to pair you with a mentor based on specialty interests, schedule, and where you live.
Interested in being a mentor? The application is the same!
The purpose of being a mentor is to provide peers with all the information you wished you had at some point. We all started out as newbies and seeing as this is a leadership program, we have the opportunity to lead and succeed as a team!
Remember this program is about building a rapport between cohorts and assisting your peers. It is not meant to share work, exam questions, or anything else that may infringe on the honor code!
